I do not think you are under standing how high up the carpet is... these people are almost laying on the ground to take these pictures. The carpet infact is the same in 2005-09 + 2010... what does this have to do with quality?? do you even understand what that word means? I can see if the carpet fell apart why you would say quality.. but we are talking about something you will never notice and that you have to crawl around to see. please do not buy another mustang.... go buy a honda! they are super nice and everyone seems to get on a soap box about them.

my 2006

my 2009 is the same

my 2007 same..

my 1999 what the same

my 07 dooge

my 2011 fiesta

my shelby

my five hundred

my 2010 mustang

my svt focus even

Maybe he thinks the carpet should extend all the way into the engine compartment too.

I stand corrected. Regardless, it is the most retarded reason ever for canceling a car

For $35k-$45K, I expect the carpet to cover the entire floor pans. It's almost is if people have been duped into accepting poor quality just because the car is fast or it is a "Mustang."

How is it poor quality if you can't see it sitting in either seat, or when waling by the car? Oh wait, maybe if you take a nap in the passenger foot well you might notice it.

Look at the rust on your exhaust manifolds. Look at the rust on your rear axle.

My guess is your fixing to get upset

Stop looking for defects and drive the **** car.

Can't stand super picky ppl... probably a Democrat

Different people have different levels of expectations. So certain aspects of vehicular quality are relative. If it is low enough to allow dirt, mud, grime or moisture from my size 11 boots to get behind the carpet and cause mold or mildew, then it is a problem.

Some people don't care about quality of the details, just as long as the final product works.

Bottom line is; the lower your level of expectations, the higher the level of your satisfaction.

the carpet is high enough... you people are nuts.. to even get your feet to touch the area being talked about you would have to lay face down in the seat and slide your nees onto the floor. You cannot see it unless you are on the floor.

Yes, there is no part cost savings. It was likely done for an assembly reason or as a correction for something that happened in testing no matter how silly. Either that or the pattern is carry over and there used to be something else there that isn't there now.

I feel it's more 60's.

I would take a Camaro over a Mustang any day, and that was never my mindset until recently. I've driven both and I have to say, from personal experience, Chevy's Camaro is the winner in almost every aspect.
