Door lock horn chip

I have a strange question...
I live in Japan and even though my 2011 GT is American spec, there have been some ridiculous alterations made by Ford Japan.

One annoying alteration is that the horn chirp that occurs when you press the door lock 2 times has been disabled. I asked why, and the dealer said it would scare Japanese people!

Ok, have you stopped laughing yet?

Good...

So I want to re-enable the horn chirp and I was wondering how I might go about doing that? Is it a software thing? Can it be re-activated through the ODB port or something?

I'm sure nobody else has this issue, but I'd totally appreciate any info or advise.
Thanks!!!

Not sure on how to get it working again, but I may be able to shed some light on why it would scare them. In many countries I've been to it's illegal to use your horn within city limits unless it is an emergency, locking your doors is not an emergency but would cause people to think something was going on.

Every other car I've owned in Japan has had horn chirp.
My 2010 RVR was pretty loud in fact!

Strange...
