Demand light fuse keeps blowing

2012 V6 Convertible Premium, purchased certified pre-owned from dealer 11-1-2012.

Demand light fuse blew about...3-4 months ago? Thought the car was just going wacky, till I changed the trunk bulb (thought it was dead) and realized the bulb was ok, it was the fuse. Swapped out the fuse and after about a week it's blown again. I actually never turn the demand lights on, or if I do it's a rarity.

I guess there's a short somewhere as it's pulling too much? When I did replace the fuse, the driver side vanity bulb never came on...could be shorted out before that. Lol f'n A.. How am I gonna find a short in my demand-light system?!?

Doubt it matters but I have a remote start kit and a dash cam, both of which are working fine for a long time without issues.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Vanity mirror lights, trunk light, and some/overhead lights WITHOUT the car doors being ajar.

It is probably the wires running behind the rear seat and where the roof arms go into the trunk. if there is any after market stuff on the car look there first. Did Hi end car audio for many years it was always the case.

Ok, I'll check it out.

I do have an aftermarket sub. Are you suggesting they may have shorted a wire for the trunk light? (by accident)

I almost never use the demand lights, so I'm just wondering how soon after I replaced the fuse, it blew. After I replaced it, I did check the lights, no issues, figure it would have blown immediately if there was a good short...perhaps intermittent.

Ugh, ok, will check that out when teh weather gets warmer..

Cheers!
