Cracked Rotor?!
Cracked Rotor?!
Noticed this last night when I got home. Is it common for Rotors to crack like this?! Its part of the RTR package, which the dealer said was installed there by Ford in San Antonio a couple years ago and would still be under warranty. Would something like this be covered? I know this isn't something I did

Right?! It appears to be fairly shallow and goes through one of the cross driled holes, but how does that even happen? I'm not a crazy driver. I've just been going too and from work lately

You can schedule an appointment online here.

It is through one of the drilled holes so I guess that makes sense. I've just never seen a crack on a rotor before. It isn't very big, but is this something I need to address immediately?

Heat will cause that. They can cool down pretty quickly after a light pressure but long duration apply, they can crack if they're not manufactured just right.
What I see a lot of are people using their breaks in situations they don't need to when simply letting the foot off the gas will let the car do the same job by itself. Not saying you do that but ****, people around here eat breaks like there's no tomorrow. Rolling stops and just generally hitting the breaks in the middle of their cruise for no apparent reason ( there's no1 around and they aren't about to turn or stop, they just hit the breaks in the middle of the road ). I see this every single day.
