Compass not working, not able to perform calibration
Compass not working, not able to perform calibration
I have a 2011 GT and I noticed the compass was stuck on north. I followed the manual and put it in calibration mode. The display shows cal. I made tight circles, going at a crawl (1st gear no throttle). I did at least 20 circles in both directions and it remained in calibration. I turned it off and no change. It goes from showing N to cal l. I had the battery disconnected for 3 days with no change. Anyone else have this problem? Any suggestions? Do I need to replace the module? If it's like other fords it would mean I'm replacing the electronic throttle. Any help appreciated.

Follow-up to anyone else with this problem. The compass is in the rearview mirror. The display changed when I unplugged the cable that runs into the back of the mirror. I'm assuming that my only option is to replace the mirror so I'm going through the process of verifying the correct part number before replacing.
