Chirping under acceleration

Hey guys,

its been 400 miles since I got my GT and I've run across my first problem. Everytime I drive I get chirping under acceleration. A squeek squeek that varies with vehicle speed can't figure out exactly where its coming from. It only does it whith the clutch engaged and accelerating. If I release the gas pedal and allow the car to slow down in gear it stops. If I press the clutch in at any time it stops as well. Revving the car in neutral reveals no squeek. I just hit a sizeable pothole and if I'm not mistaken I faintly heard it. Any ideas? Calling the dealership tomorrow.

Thanks

Did you notice any smoke, in your mirror, from the rear tires while the "chirping" was taking place/

I have not experienced anything out of the ordinary, so far.

I am editing..just thought of something. Could be the clutch release bearing. I had one go out on a new car several years ago. It will squeek or chirp while engaged and stop when the clutch is depressed.

Love my 6 speed auto, it's super quiet.

Ya, sounds like some kind of part in the clitch or tranny. Possibly a drive shaft issue.

Doesn't sound like it's the motor. Good luck with the dealership.

It's coming from the right rear wheel and appears to be a hub/bearing issue. It squeaks only when under a load. In a turn or while accelerating. Sound pitch is lower at low speeds, more like a faint creek when manoevering for parking. Think somethink isn't tightened down properly causing some play in the rear hub. Drove with the lead mechanic already. Car is due in again on Wednesday. Will keep you posted.

Turned out to be nothing more than a slightly warped rear rotor. The spun the rotor and reinstalled it. Been having no issues for 4 days now.
