Buzzing climate fan

Anyone else's climate fan buzzing? Mine started a few days ago, and is getting progressively louder.

The buzz goes away as soon as I hit the climate power button.

Should be covered under warranty I hope.

I wonder if you have a leaf or some kind of obstruction in the intake. Set the a/c to recirc and see if it continues.

Its still there in all modes and fan speeds. Might try to take the fan out or just bring it in and let ford deal with it. That's what warranties are for.

Yea I'd let them handle it. Just thought maybe it was something simple.

Mine started buzzing too. It was a leaf in the fan motor housing. How it got there, I've no idea. But once I got it out, the buzzing went away.

Hey LEwis26,

I agree with you bringing your vehicle in to your dealer for diagnosis. I can also escalate this for you if you’d like. Since I already have your VIN, just PM me with your dealer, mileage, and contact info so I can help.

Thanks Deysha,

I am going to take the three bolts out tonight and see if there is anything in there. If it's clear, and is still buzzing, I will PM you to escalate the issue.

Took a look today. Nothing inside it and the fan motor buzzes when not in the housing. Looks like I'll be bringing this in for that along with the 5th gear grind.

Deysha, I'll PM you soon.

Dropping it off monday to have the climate fan replaced and the 5th gear looked at. One of the techs went for a ride with me yesterday and agreed that the 5th gear grind wasn't normal.

We shall see what happens.
