9563 miles....and my '12 has a broken transmission...

So last night my girlfriend and I left the bar around 1am, I was merging on the interstate in 2nd gear I then went to look for 3rd gear...and it wasn't there. The shiffter just bounced back like it had a skip shift in third, 4th wasn't there either. I got to the shoulder and tried to shut it off and restart. The car was in neutral(or the neutral position at least), start the car and let the clutch out and it jumped/stalled. I shifted the car VERY easy lastnight, I shifted just around 3000K RPMs. I called and had it towed....who got there at 3:30am. The roll back had a grabber blue stage 2 Roush...with the same issue, what are the odds? Anyway the car was towed to the dealer I bought it from who will have someone look into both cars "sometime this week". Anyone have any thoughts, ideas, guesses?

sounds like the linkage fell apart...so the new Getrag tranny comes from china, and the old Tremec came from mexico...too bad they dont put Muncie back on the map building indestructable gearboxes here again

Axlebacks won't change your trans warranty. They're unrelated systems.

Oh man, slostang! I'd like to escalate this for you. Please PM me with your dealer, VIN, mileage, and contact info so I can help.

Got a call alot earlier then I expected, service manager called and said "well, its without a doubt broke, we ordered a new transmission for you and should be here tomorrow or the next, we are going to try and have the car back to you on Friday". I was in between classes so I didn't have time to ask the issues, but it must of been pretty evident for them to diagnose and decided a FULL replacement in 8 hours, no? So far it seems this is going alot easier then I had hoped. Any ideas or thoughts?

Thank you Deysha,
I would have got this info over to you sooner, but I am very impressed with the turn around time and the ease of this process so far. If anything else comes about I will be sure to let you know, thanks again.

Nope, I am still without a car. The trans is out of the car, I just saw it when I got my helmet out of the car(for my street bike, not the track lol). They have SINCE offered me a rental because "the failure was our fault and we will step up and find you a rental/loaner for the length of the repair".

Glad to hear you and your lady are okay, and that there wasn't an accident as a result of this. Keep us posted!
