Thank you for the update, thebms! Once it's apart your dealer can check for further damage.

Thank you Deysha. I really appreciate your help. My dealer has also been great.

This will be my fifth trip for the same issue with seat. I think there should be a solid plan in place and all parts ready to go, so I don't have to make a sixth trip and have my seat torn down yet another time.

You're very welcome, thebms! Your dealer can arrange that.

Stories like this make me glad I got cloth not to say over time my cloth won't look bad but at least I didn't pay any extra money to get it. To be honest I have never been a huge leather fan and is why I bought a car without it. I hope you get this resolved to your satisfaction.

Why don't they just order a new seat instead of piecing one together n having to re tear it apart?

I called yesterday and scheduled an appointment.

I'm not too optimistic.

Wow, just read this entire thread. I'd be beyond pissed at this point, somebody would be getting a letter from my attorney!

Exactly right? You'd think after all this, ford could have saved time, money, and face... While keeping customer satisfaction up, by simply changing the seat out.

Actually, I am an attorney in Massachusetts, which has some of the most pro-consumer laws in the nation.

On top of all the trouble with my seat, my A/C started acting up again this weekend. After malfunctioning all summer (and three visits for a total of six days in the shop, where the A/C compressor and belt were ultimately replaced) I thought it was finally fixed. I guess not.

Here's Ford's idea of a "repair." I was told in no uncertain terms that this is the best they can do... Well, its still way worse than when I started. I am completely dissatisfied with Ford, but I'm not sure if there's anything else I can do besides take my future business elsewhere (we bought another new car last weekend and it was NOT a Ford, despite the fact that I was ready to buy an Explorer before this whole thing went down with my Mustang).

^ actually, doesn't that look better than a few of the other pics of the "fixes" they did? Hmmmm but still, if you're not satisfied that is your call.
