Sorry your 3.7 failed. I guess that's what warranties are for! I trust your dealer will get it fixed promptly.

Thanks Brian
At first I thought it was just a valve train noise, but after they diagnosed it they say it is in the bottom end on the number 3 cylinder and now have the engine out of the car.

...nothing about that post wasn't chill....I just am interested to see what happens with this guys engine and don't want this thread to be hijacked with posts like that. You guys can crack the v6 jokes all day, I do it to and I own one! just not in the first couple posts of a guy seeking advice....? thanks.

So far the OP hasn't said it was a failure for sure, just that there was a noise that seems to the techs to have been coming from the bottom end and they had it out to diagnose it.
But, even if it is, there have not been any others reported on here or any other forum that I have seen. This is better than the GT's where there have been a few reported and they build lots more V6's than GT's.

OK, here is the latest on the engine. They pulled the engine out yesterday and today they are pulling the heads. They think it is a wrist pin, but I question that. I want everyone to understand that this car is driven as a daily driver and is not modified or raced. It only has 47K on it and has all of the required maintenance done on time. The dealer still cannot tell me what Ford is going to do. It seems it all depends on the cost factor. It has been 2 weeks and I still think Ford should have replaced the engine to begin with and did all of this teardown and inspection for quality control, since as far as I can find out, I am the first and only person to have an issue with the 3.7.

I defend them and there owners. Hell, I have defended theAce so many times about his "Boss" stripes on his car it's ridiculous.....
