2013 MT-82 tranny

I was talking with a manager at work (Ford Motor Co)

He turned in his 2011 GT Mustang and Ford dropped off his new ride ,right to work as always.
A 2013 GT Convert with a $ 44,000 sticker. I asked him if he could feel any HP difference.
He mentions to me how the 2013 6 speed shifts so nice and effortlessly.
I told him he wasent the only one who thought the 2011, 6 spds werent the best shifting trannys.
He goes on to tell me ( No, you dont understand it doesnt feel at all alike)
So my question is; I wonder if Ford did some changes to the 2013 shifter and trannys?

I dont remember where i saw this information, but i remember reading how they made minor adjustments to the transmission, changing some specs of a few of the gears through out the 2012 model year build cycle. Ill try looking for the website.

I hate to say it but ford should install that fix in the 2011-12s that have a rough shift.

I agree, I'm gonna see if I could schedule a test ride in a new Mustang and see if its a huge difference as he stated, Then I might try to get my tranny revised.

Almost sad to see a GT vert at 44k and you can get a Boss 302 for 2k more.

My GT MT82 was built week of 2/27. It shifts very smoothly. I expected it to be notchy when new, but it isn't at all. I have to think it will only get better as it breaks in.

i would be very interested if this became a TSB. I definitely think that this is the solution to the querky 2nd gear in the 11-12 models but when I approached my dealer with that information they just scratched their heads.

Overboost and I drove each other's cars to compare a few months back, and his '11 GT shifted like butter with a really easy clutch; my '12 had a noticably heavier clutch feel, and the shifting took a little more effort as well. Mine was an early '12; not sure about when his was bulit. So, FWIW, neither are '13s, but there was a big difference between the feel of the two.
