there is a bulletin out for the 2011-2012 cars but the cut off production date is something like April of 2012. My car was built in November so they waved me off. If it gets more persistent, I'm going to take it back for another look.
I have a real good relationship with the dealer, the GM ordered my car and the Service Manager always test drives my car to verify. That make it a little easier in a way cause they always treat me very well.

Depending on the noise, it might well be normal. If this is your first Mustang or first solid rear axle car, it takes some getting used to. Mine makes some thumping-type sounds that are perfectly normal but sounded like problems to me at first.

I have 2200mi on my car, and yes, mine will do it every now and then. I took it in to have my dealer look at it and they sent me away saying NPF (no problem found).

I recommend you make an appointment with your dealer as soon as possible for diagnosis. Then, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so I can get this escalated to the Customer Service Manager for your area.

Yes, commmon. There's a TSB (TSB 11-7-8) out for it. And dozens of threads about it. It mainly does it when the car is warmed up, not when it's been sitting for a few hours/over night. In most cases, the dealer replaces the front lower control arms (LCAs). That's what they did on my car.

Deysha, I can't seem to be able to get Ford to help with this issue on my new 2012 Mustang GT that is approximately 7 months old and has this problem dealer says it is normal and sends it back.. I surely would not have purchased this vehicle had I known it would start this noise after owning it for a short time.
