I do agree that going overboard doesn't help. I also think they left your engine compartment looking poorly, as well as the clean-up on the terminal incomplete. I personally would not be satisfied until that battery was replaced, the components with acid residue replaced, and a detailed explanation of what will be done at no cost to you. It looks like they did the minimum. Good luck with everything!

I agree. They have stepped up to the plate and once again earned my respect and business. I got a call from the headed of service and then an hour later I got a call from the head of customer service for the region. They are giving me a rental car and covering any damaged parts/covers.

Glad to see it is working out. Hopefully, they will make everything right. It really is in their best interest, business wise.

Thats a bad thing that has to do that in the first place...

I guess when you get a call for Detroit, its like the principle calling you down for a "Chat"....

I dropped the car off an hour ago. I got a loaner car. Its a nice new new 2012 focus. Its kinda zippy. I showed the service guys that the battery was still growing stuff. Again. My car also has a small clunk like the caliper isnt letting go. It happens when stopping fast or turning in a sharp manor and sometimes just out of the blue it makes the sound.

The Service guy said he would get the cover painted black since ordering a new one was $300 bucks. I said thats fine. He seen my new painted blue'ness on the engine covers that I did to fix the damager that was already done. He asked if I wanted to paint the top cover the ford blue I used on the side covers. I told him it would be to much blue but a nice black would be fine. Said it would be a couple of days. I showed him that all the plastic in the bay had been covered in the acid. I hope they can fix it. This really is a big deal to me. I am silly that way.

I just stopped by the dealer to get my garage door opener. The Guy service guy said the tech checked the sound out and its a "normal sound". I have owned a 06 07 08 09 10 and now this 12 and have never heard that sound before this. It sould liek something it loose or maybe even the caliper isnt releasing.

They are working on seeing what they can do about the stupid battery. I said "just replace it" and the reply was they are checking into it still. Its a **** 60 dollar part that could of saved them and me alot of time and money.

My engine bay is once again a place fit for a meal. I am still working on the noise from the front. Took her out for a spin and loved it. YAY Torq!
