It was working fine...got out of my car for a bit and went back in...and then this! Turned the car off for a little while but it continued doing that. Already have a trip to the dealer for a squeak and an oil change on Tuesday so I'll have them look at it then. Seems odd

Thankfully, no. Something to look forward to. Good luck with the repair.

Update from the dealership: They said they are replacing the nav unit. Is the gauge screen and the nav considered the same thing/connected and replaced together? Or is that the actual name for the small screen?

I was also surprised that the $40 oil change is the same price for Mustangs...I thought for sure it would cost more due to needing more oil

Hi SkyyPunk,

I agree; that is odd. Did you have the opportunity to show this to your dealer today or has it been fine since last week? Let me know how it went so I can see how best to assist.

they probably put the wrong oil in as well as not enough oil. better check up on them.

The dealership is replacing the nav unit so hopefully that will prevent it from happening again!

Thanks Andrea

edit: Just got it back! They said there were some error codes of some sort and replaced both screens (gauge and main nav screens). I will double check the oil level a little later today as suggested. On a quick look I didn't notice anything that said how much oil was put in on the receipt sheets

Thanks for the update, SkyyPunk! If it happens again, make sure to get this escalated through Andrea. Just send her your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number so she can help.
