I have a V6 convertible with a base stereo with sync. I want to keep the base stereo but upgrade the speakers and power them with an amplifier. Other than under the seat, where would be a good place to hide the amplifier?

Factory amp goes above the driver kick panel where the hood latch is.

 

I like the installls under the rear deck that I have seen. Looks nice, and really is hidden

 

Will a mono amp fit under the front seat?

 

If you choose to install under the rear deck or dash, try to install the amp right-side up, especially if the amp has heat-sink fins, so that it can dissapate heat properly. Otherwise, you could have overheating problems.

Whether an amp will fit under the front seats - depends on the size of the amp. I don't think there is a lot of room.
