Any hard bolt location will do. The entire body is a ground, so a good metal-to-metal connection is going to suffice. Find a good, convenient bolt that is usable for a ring terminal to go around, sand the paint off the body and the underside of the bolt so there's metal to metal (to metal, in this case) and reattach the bolt.

I'd also then spray some paint on that when it's done to protect it from future rust, or possibly goop it up with some dielectric grease, one of the two.

Hope that helps!

You should have prepared ground connectors behind the trunk back trim. They already have a thread, just remove the paint a little bit, take a matching screw and mounting the cable there.

I marked the connectors for you on the attached picture.

They have a thread but what about a bolt for it? I'm in the same boat as the OP. I just need to connect the ground then a test hit of the sub. If I need a bolt for those prepared spots, what size is it?

I found a bolt right next to that area that looked like grounds because they are just bolted to the metal of the body. I'm going to try that. How do you test if that's a good ground?
