For those that might be wondering

Hey everyone,

I just swapped out my front speakers in my 2011 GT with the shaker pro stereo system and I spliced the wires into the speakers instead of using the ford adapters. I read earlier that someone did this as well and they just had to guess as to which of the wires were positive and negative. I know which is which, so I hope this helps at least one of you!

In this diagram the positive wire is always the one on top

Later!

This confuses me. I keep reading the metra adapter which has the positive wire on top is wrong and the crutch field adapter with positive wire on bottom is correct. Shouldn't the positive wires match up to the same in the adapter?

I don't know man... this diagram came directly from alldatapro.com

When I say the positive wire is always on top, I mean that in this diagram the positive wire is always on top.

i.e.

Left Door Speaker: White is Positive
White/Brown is Negative

Left Rear Speaker: White/Green is Positive
Brown/Yellow is Negative

Right Door Speaker: White/Violet is Positive
White/Orange is Negative

Right Rear Speaker: Brown/White is Positive
Brown/Blue is Negative
