I've had people tell me the SYNC mic sounds horrible when I'm on phone .. especially if A/C is on ....

I ordered an F150 Microphone and going to install it in my A-Pillar .... Looks like it shouldn't be too hard to wire .. lots of F150 guys are replaced their mirror mic's as well ....

Just waiting for the parts to come into dealer ....

The mic in my 2012 Explorer is in the headliner and it SUCKS. I have no issues with the mic in my mustang though. For the 2013 Mustang the mic is in the map-light console.

 

I have had the opposite experience. My friends frequently comment on how clear my bluetooth is.

 

It is very simple in terms of running the wires up, and then into the headliner. I did this with the mic that came with the pioneer double din that i bought. Except it is not flushed with the headliner :/. I might need to order one of these. Good find.
