I picked up a NAV panel pretty cheap to see what would work and what wouldn't. I figured the finished look would go nice with my Android Tablet Mod I did a couple months ago.

The NAV panel does plug into the same Harness as NON-NAV panel ... However here is what I found out ..


Night Illumination works fine.

Top row:


MENU button works as expected.
PHONE button goes right to phone menu as expected.
Eject button works for Shaker
Other buttons along top do nothing

Middle Row ..

MEDIA button switches through media types
SOUND button pulls up bass / treble / etc
I don't think RADIO or DISP did anything.
Volume and tuner controls work fine.
Power on/off work fine.
SEEK works
PRESETs Do NOT work

Bottom:

Heated seat buttons turn on heaters but red lights do not turn on.
Power button turns on A/C / Heat ... recirculate works.
Front and rear defogger works.
All amber indicator lights work as normal on the climate buttons.
There is no way to change fan speed. Seems to be stuck on medium no buttons can turn fan up or down.

Which panel are you going to use? The fan stuck on medium kinda sucks.

No updates. I'm still looking for the Nav Head Unit.

 

Good luck... I can't even seem to find a Shaker 500 H/U with OE amps at a reasonable price...

I'm beginning to think about the Metra kit and going with a Pioneer, followed by re-making all the buttons on the Metra unit in black anodized billet since I can't stand their universal graphics they used on their controls.

 

I have a spare 2010 Shaker HU. What year need?

 

2010 - need the front sub amps as well if you have them. Shoot me an email and let's talk! I'm hoping to be able to preoperly integrate the Motorola T605 Bluetooth unit in so that it auto-mutes like I had it on my 2005. With the 10's base stereo, currently I have to shut off the stereo manually, which is not a big deal, but it's enough of an aggravation. Also, since we swapped the door panels from a premium 11, we have the door subs in place, but currently they have no power to them...
