Shelby using MGW and Barton shifters

Last week I was at SEMA and took a couple of hours to visit the Shelby American shop and while doing the shop tour I noticed that in front of all cars being worked on there was an MGW box. So I ask our tour guide and he was explaining to me that for their cars they went away from Hurst and now using MGW for their cars with the exception of the GT350 (MT82) where they are using the Barton

I wonder why they prefer Barton over MGW for their MT82 transmission?

Interested in this too. Ordering a MGW for x-mas so would love to know why they chose one over the other.

Which one do you think is better? I will be in the market soon and looking at getting one for a v6 manual.

I fully agree with ZTo5 - shifting now with the MGW is an absolute joy - I purposely ordered a 6-spd manual to enjoy the experience and was somewhat disappointed with the OEM shifter. MGW rocks!
