Roush exhaust for V6

I know exhausts get talked about a lot... I just ordered a roush axle back for my 14 v6 premium and was wondering from guys who have had it for a while how happy are you with it? Do I need to get glasspack resonators as well? I'm not expecting a v8 sound, just something that lets me know I'm driving a mustang. I also have a airaid cai(no tune, scared of warranty issues). Feedback from roush exhaust owners would be really appreciated!

Respectfully, I do not recommend roush exhaust for V6. However, I highly recommend it for V8 applications.

Reasons being, the sound is very high pitched and somewhat grating. I recommend Flowmasters or Ford racing mufflers for v6.

Flowmasters were too silent for me. I did think about the ford racing ones but roush videos I found sounded good and was better priced for me.

Yes, the FMs are somewhat quiet but the tone was better. Remember volume and tone are different things. Louder doesn't always mean more aggressive sounding.

The roush mufflers are certainly loud. I removed them after a month or so. I can describe my experience as "angry ricer" sound. However, that is just my opinion.

I would look at videos on YouTube of the ford racing. Good luck friend!

I'm a fan of the roushs with glass packs welded in (18" seems to be the perfect size) but the MRT interceptors as well as the magnaflow como quad tips or even pypes pype bombs sound great as well.
Personally I'm debating between roush + glass packs or magnaflow quads + glass packs. I love how well quad tips integrate into the rear ends.

I've heard that the glasspacks will take the raspiness out of them. Any clue how much glasspacks will set me back?

Not too sure tbh but look up Dillon Shand. On YouTube for his roush + resonator exhaust vids. Still sounds great but most of the high pitch rasp is gone.

I have the Roush exhaust on my V6 and I absolutely love it! I don't find it to be ricer at all....it sounds mean. I have had it on for a few months now.

Great to hear... I watched many videos and I couldn't find one that I didn't like for the roush axle backs. I found this forum after I put in my order and found a bunch of haters so it got me worried. I hope I'm happy with it like you are

I bit the bullet when I was looking and bought the Borla Stingers.....Love them....makes my v6 sound soo much better....also my rear end lost weight from the factory boat anchors. I really enjoy the downshifting and hearing her cackle and grumble.....

Do not get glass packs. They are useless after a year. If you want a permanent solution go with resonators.

Anyway, whoever said the Roush AB for v6 is high pitched is insane. It's a very deep sound. I get mistaken for a v8 all the time. I've had two separate mechanics even mistake me for a v8.

The only downfall of the Roush AB is popping in the summer after 1st and 2nd gear shifts, but resonators should eliminate that entirely
