Question about Shaker 500 w/ Shelby Kicker 8" Sub Upgrade
The stock door sub has 4 wires each coming from the stock shaker 500 amp.
When you install the Shelby 8' Kickers the instructions indicate that you only need 2 of the 4 wires hooked up to drive the new sub.
Could you essentially combine the 2 negative and 2 postive wires together respectively? Or could you even bridge them and use the positive from one side and negative from the other?
Seems like it would be a good way to boost the output of the Shelby.

Better off just amping them separately, as the stock sub amps don't even put out 20 watts. And they might not last very long. Sonic electronics has amps pretty cheap, and also using a pac audio interface makes the wiring super easy. That's what I did anyway, hope it helps

I should have put this int he OP but I already own/installed the subs. Just figured I could try for a bit more output if I hooked up the other set of wires instead of letting them just chill in the door. I also installed 4 x TR570-CXi's as well.
I'm actually considering installing an aftermarket Amp/Sub for the trunk as well. Just figured I'd try to maximize what I had.
