No rear mats?

I ordered Husky Liners for my car weeks before the car arrived. In fact, I took the fronts with me to the dealer and installed them before I drove on to work. I installed the back ones yesterday, and was surprised that there weren't any rear mats. Is that right? I didn't order any accessory mats or anything, and its really not an issue for me, since I have the Huskys, but I do find wonder if its a mistake, or they aren't included. I have never seen a car that didn't have rear mats from the factory.

True, you cannot really even see the rear floor. To be clear, I am just curious, not complaining.

I understand. The mustang has never come with rear mats to my knowledge, but you can purchase them pretty cheap.

As I said, its not really an issue. In fact, I discovered it when I was putting in my rear Husky Liners, so I already have it covered. Just curious!

The only new car I have ever bought that came with rear floor mats were 4 door cars. It must be an easy way for the manufacturer to cut production costs, and then make more $$$ off those that want them. Hey, it only took 4-5 years to get the trunk release button back, maybe the 2015 will come with rear floor mats (just kidding, I know it won't)...
