New rear speakers=rattling package tray
I put new Inifnity speakers in the front and back of my 2014 Mustang Gt with the base radio. It sounds MUCH better.
However, the rear package tray now vibrates when heavy bass notes are played. I can put my hand on the carpet in the tray and it stops vibrating and the noise disappears.
I've been able to get around it by fading most of the sound to the front.
Any suggestions to help with the rattle?
Thanks!!

Sound deadener like Dynamat would work. However, an inexpensive solution might be Velcro - buy some at Home Depot or the like, it is self-adhesive, and use it to stick the package tray down to the metal.

Springer your dead on.There is a few companies that make something like Dynamat. I have had some success making my own. Use 30 LB roofing Felts ( a few sheets if you need it ) I have also used undercoating as well. Your just trying to make sure nothing is moving. I suspect it also has to do with the carpeted rear deck moving around. aren't stereo upgrades fun?
