Need help finding radio face plate clips after Raxiom Nav Install
Hi folks, hope someone can help me here!
To make a long story short, I am up to my third Raxiom Nav unit from American Muscle. The third one does work fine.
My problem is that after removing the radio face plate 3 times, I broke/lost some of the white plastic clips that hold the radio face plate in place. I went to my Ford dealer, and believe it or not, they are not listed for the clips, and you are supposed to buy a complete new OEM face plate!
So, as a warning, don't pull too hard on the clips!
Does anyone know the part# for the clip or know where they can be found?
Thanks!!!!

As for the clips.. I'm surprised Ford doesn't have any options. Your best bet may be a local hardware/parts store and see if you can make something work. There has to be some kind of clip out there!
I'm sorry I couldn't be more help!

Posting a picture of the clip may help. I know in the hardware section at Lowes there is a pretty good selection of Automotive screws and clips. I have got push pins and stuff there before.

I noticed that the retainers for the console sides were pretty similar. Alas, same shape but too wide.
Lowes is not an option, autotoys list two clip types.
For now, I was able to "fix" a broken retainer so I put two at the top of the faceplate and it seems to hold well. Hopefully I'll never have to remove that ever again. If I do find the answer I'll post it here for reference.
Thanks for the replies!!

I "lost" one of the clips also. It fell down into the abyss below the radio and I looked and looked for it and no such luck. I hope I don't have to remove the faceplate again. I don't want to "lose" anymore clips.
