lcd mirror for reverse camera - Wiring Q's
I know this topic is like beating a dead horse but i've yet to find one that ACTUALLY says what color wire is used for what connection and where to find it so I've decided to just make a new thread topic.
Base Model 2013 - does not have any electronics upgrades - no park assist etc.
The mirror I'm installing calls for a 12v acc wire and a reverse wire....
rather than tapping into the wire at my taillights and tapping into some random 12v acc wire - Could i use fuse taps and tap into these fuses?
(i have 2 screenshots below of what i want to tap into and what they are for)
This one for the Mirror 12v Acc?
And this one for the reverse wire?
(I have the camera highlighted as well because i want to tap into that for my OEM backup camera install if possible.)

Yes and no. Yes, you could use the Retained Accessory Power (RAP) circuit for powering the mirror although I can think of no reason you would need the camera with the ignition off. No, the reverse parking aid fuse does not do what you think it does... it is live in Start and Run and is not switched power from the neutral safety switch (automatic) or backup light switch (manual).

okay thank you very much for the response.
my ford rear view mirror removal tool came in today ! so on my lunch break i removed the stock mirror and put the new mirror on, removing the old mirror was SO EASY! I've read so many stories of people breaking their windshields and I dont know how or why but it was the easiest thing ive ever done.
