Interior

I've been wanting to replace alot of interior parts with aluminum. When I tried to order them I was told they only come in stock painted parts. I want to replace the trim in the center console the trim around the radio an a few more here and there. The reason they gave me for not being able to order them is a 2011 is to new and they aren't available. Does anyone know of a company I can order these through

NewFordParts.com
FordParts.com

Find the part number and they can order it for you.

In aluminum? I'm only asking this because I went to the ford dealer and was told it's not able to be ordered.

Sorry, maybe I'm misunderstanding you. Are you looking for stock trim with the brushed aluminum or add-on parts?

I want to replace the plastic around the radio along the center and maybe a couple other parts. I went to order them and they said they don't have them in aluminum or chrome? Do you think the guy was wrong. I thought it was strange he said it's because my car is so new they didn't make replacement parts yet. Strange!!!

I'm pretty sure that any of the dress-up kits available for a '10 should work for an '11.

Ok thanks I'll look into it. I had damage to the center from the air freshener and want to replace the parts but would like to put a little more into it and get exactly what I want. Heres a question if I can't get aluminum what would you think of color matching the grabber blue and having the parts removed and custom painted?

Yes, I saw your air freshener damage -- if you want to replace it with just stock, of course you can get the stock parts, you just need the part number. Your part dealer is full of it if they're telling you that you can't.

As far as painting interior parts I would suggest going to an auto customizing shop for advice. It's not something that someone new to the process may want to undertake.

I wasn't even going to attempt it myself I'd def take it to a shop. Ford said I can order the parts but it was the same I have just the painted grey. I just wanted to upgrade it to a aluminum or some other material that was different. Thanks for all the info

I want to put real wood. I know that this is not for you, but the same website makes aluminum and carbon fiber kits. There are links to the website plus other info on my thread in the regular 2011 section called something like wood trim classy or stupid. I would link to it, but I am on my phone. It should have links and some info that can apply to aluminum or carbon fiber.
