How to fitx scratch in aluminum dash panel inser

I came across a set of Aluminum dash panels that I want to use to replace my base dash panels. The panels are in perfect condition except for a scratch on the right side of the lower panel that covers the airbag. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the scratch or make it blend in better? Or do I just have to live with the scratch? I don't want to make it look worst. I don't want to cover it either, I like the look of this style factory panel.

I have polished my brushed stainless steel watches with some steel wool. Worth a shot!
