headliner mic wiring - red, black, white wire.s

i bought a headliner microphone, it has a ground/shield black wire (or so thats what i think it is) a red wire and a white wire.

does this headliner mic require a 12v source? no matter what wire combination i try i cannot get it to work. im wiring it to a 3.5mm plug

can anyone identify these wire colors for me? its actually the headliner mic from the F-series trucks.

red

white

black

Thank you,

I read that these mics are amplified.

Found some cross reference stuff that.

Red 12v
Blue mic +
Black ground of course...

I'll try this and see what happens

never was able to figure it out, instead i broke the mic out of its case and replaced it with a mic i wanted to use , into the ford headliner housing, fits real nice and insulated it as well.

not sure that im going to use it, but atleast it is an option now.
