Im a ford tech but i cant get a straight anwser any were connectors look alike

You would have to redo everything in the center dash. The disc player would have to be moved, all the connectors moved and re-done. Not the easiest project and will probably cost a pretty penny. Not worth it in my mind.

The Nav unit communicates with the Audio Control Module and PCM via the Module Communications Network. The communication shares information enabling options like backup camera and to provide other vehicle information like speed for dead reckoning.

On a car with the electronics package that was not ordered with the backup camera you have to flash the PCM just to enable the camera or use a 3rd party solution like a lockpick.

Assuming (big if here) that the car has all of the wiring for the lights, climate control, etc and the PCMs are the same model (there are 4 for the 4.6L in a 2010) you would need a complete Nav unit and a PCM flash for it to work.

Went to a local installer and he said he could put a alpine double din w/ gps using metra kit in my base GT.
