I have seen a lot of in-dash installations of tablets but didnot like the way they look! So I came up with this setup!

The tables will auto sync to both my Iphone (for internet) and to the sound system when I enter the car! the mount goes into the 12v and it has a micro Usb which I use sometime to recharge the tablet!

Only down side is the tablet blocks the drive ac vent (the passenger side is ok)

I've been wanting to do this.. like forever. I've thought about permanantly mounting my iPad 2 in my car, multiple times, but I never do it. Hard to do with a convertible. I think eventually I'll just get the most awesome car mount EVER and get a Galaxy Note II and see what I can come up with.

 

Na, thats too big IMHO....
I liked my permanent mount in dash better, ended up reverting back to stock though cause we use the tablet for GPS in my truck too.

so now I just set it up between the shifter bezel and the HVAC *****. works great.
