I did some poking around on the Ford parts site, and all I found was the GT500 visors, which were sold as a pair, and were $300. I'll see what I can dig up.

Edit - If someone has access to parts further than the website shows, search "CR3Z-04104" and see what comes up.

wow retail price is over $300, and dealer cost isnt very great either.

Oh well, I actually use and value homelink enough to spend good money for it ( I would much rather use the factory plug and play, even knowing that its way more money then making my own).

Will this be easy to install?

definatly something i'd look into doing...(having 4 cars in the household makes remotes hard to come by) plus integrated into the car is a hell of a lot more cleaner then having to have the remote on the visor or having to bring it out of the cubbys (which there are a lack of) in the stang

Anybody know if the convertible uses the same part number? I have heard that convertibles have different sun visors.

When I was looking at Ford Parts, it appears they are different part numbers.

Makes sense, since the part is a BR3Z, indicating a 2011 start date. Did you actually order the visor Shaun?

Oh, alright. Definitely interested in these as well. It looked like they came as a pair when I pulled them up, is that true?

I'll call you later, I got your VM.

I talked to my dealer and the only convertible part number they show that is listed with HomeLink is for the 2012 GT500 convertible. The part number is BR3Z7604105DA. She is checking to see if there is a different part for a V6 convertible. It is quite possible that the other visors have HomeLink without specifically mentioning it in the parts list (for example, if there is no choice of with or without for a particular model).

Any reason a GT500 visor would be different from a V6 Premium? It must be somewhat smaller than in a coupe because it's only $257.41 retail.

Wondering the same thing since convertible visors are (I believe) different.
I'd love to get a Homelink visor in my vert if I could!
If you're going to be talking to your parts girl anyway, I'd be interested if that 2012 GT500 convertible part would work on 2011 Mustang GT convertible...

This is something I want too. I hate the clunky remote on the sun visor, specially when you drive a vert and everyone can see it.

Custom Homelink on a Budget

I also love having Homelink built in. It is so much easier than carrying the hand held unit, and it never needs batteries.

Having done this once before in my 2007 Mustang, I did it again in this one. I went on Ebay, bought a roaming Homelink unit for $15.00 and custom mounted it in the roof console. Just drill the holes, and hardwired it to the map lamp power wire.

It is not centered in my 2011 as it was in my 2007 because of the new airbag lamp. But it works perfectly, and it was very inexpensive!

Nice work Bill! Unfortunately, for anyone equipped with the Security Package, you can't put it there because of the sonar sensors on the corners of the dome light trim. There isn't enough room to mount it.

Yes, it has a lighted vanity mirror. I don't have a picture of the mirror part, but this is what it looks like:

I did a write-up on removing it and whatnot; it's at the link below.
