F150 "MFT" vs Mustang Factory Ford NAV

My boss has a 2013 F150 w/NAV
It looks SOOOOO much better asthetically, my '14 NAV looks like old software!

The difference would be like going from a non-smart phone to an android based system. The F150 NAV looks like it is android based. Has the "Four Corners" of media (NAV, Phone, Radio, Climate)

Im envious casue when I found out I was getting NAV in the new car I playede around with his nav to see what it was like. Imagine my dissapointment when I got in my new 2014 car to see the old looking nav!?

the F150 was the first to have the 4.2" LED screen in between the gauges too in 2012, when th emustang got it in 2013.

C'Mon ford.....give us a software update!!!

Here is teh F150 nav:

The latest update they did in August fixed 99% of the problems I had with MFT in the Raptor. You might want to look into it. I believe it v3.6.2 or something like that.

Had to take my Focus back 3 times for MFT problems but I will look and see if there is a new update.

Hey Matt's 95 Stang,

69Mach1-409 is correct! The recent update for MyFord Touch is V3.6.2. Log in at: www.Support.Ford.Com to download it. The download takes about a half hour and the engine will need to be running. Feel free to drive around while it's installing, you don't need to stay parked to update.

Let me know if this improves the concerns you've been noticing with MyFord Touch.

Kim

I had the MYT in my 11 explorer and now in my 14 escape. The system just plain out works. Hell if I could figure it out, I would love to have that system in my 11 GT500.

I have ZERO CLUE why we get that bootleg old system. Even though I do not have the nav, I have seen GT500's with it, and its like why ??? In all honesty I do not understand why the Mustangs are hanging on to this whole Shaker 500 system to begin with. The Sony system is head and tails above it in sound and functionality.

The main reason the mustang does not have it is because it is not a new generation or platform. The next generation mustang will definitely have mft. However since this 2011-14 isn't a total redesign of the mustang it kept the older unit. All the redesigned cars have MFT such as the explorer and focus etc.

I have the the MFT in my new F150, no problems at all a bit slow I think switching between screen modes but still very nice. In fact my buddy just bought a 2014 Shelby and I was telling him that there is a update for his MFT and then I found out he has the old nav system in the car.
