Electrical gauge install help please
Folks... I've never installed an electrical gauge before. Can someone please tell me how to? I don't even know where to start. It's for my boost gauge. It needs power to light up the black faced gauges. So I would like it on all the time as soon as I turn on the car. Thanks in advance.
And here's a pic of the underside drivers side dash... Can't I just tap into somewhere there??? Is there a kit I can buy that will let me tap into it? Like an invisicord for radar detector does?

Don't cut into wires. Use a test light, go to pass compartment fuse panel. Use your owners manual to see what fuse controls what. Try to find a fuse under 15 amps that will come alive, with the test light, only when the ignition switch is turned to RUN. Then you can use a product called Add-A-Circuit that allows you to use 2 fuses in a single fuse hole. The additional wire can be used to power your gauge light. http://www.amazon.com/s?ie=UTF8&page...%20mini%20fuse
Don't use any circuits that control the air bag system.

I agree. Don't cut into wiring if you don't have to. If you're not sure or not comfortable doing it, find an automotive wiring specialist and have them do it. Poor electrical work can create all sorts of problems later on.
