digital shift **** at American Muscle

Looks interesting (yeah maybe a little ricey), but I would be concerned that it might be cheaply made, not work well, be a pain to install..... has anyone seen these??? Opinions????

Ford themselves even sell these as accessories. While the 6 speed was hard to get used to, I don't see how this could help. They way I hold the shifter my hand would be covering it lol
$200? For a shift ****?
I think if you have to look down at the shift **** to see what gear you're in..... You may want to invest in an automatic...
Also, isn't that money better spent on a short shifter? (Just a thought)

Interesting idea, but I'd rather have an indicator in the instrument cluster if I was going that route. Of course, if they went through the effor to go that far it would be simple for Ford to add remote start on manuals.
After living with an Autometer D-Pic for a number of years, I'd pass; I'd avoid anything that you would have to keep calibrating. I'd rather just get in the car and drive.

There are so many good options that need to be std.
Does the car know when its in neutral in anyway? (when its not in any gear) ? this is relevant because my guess is this **** will some how state an 'N' or something for when its not in any gear. And this is helpful when considering doing an aftermarket remote start... this way the alarm will get a signal to know that the car is in gear and shouldn't be started.
Dont flame me for thinking about doing an aftermarket remote start in a 6spd car. Both of my last two 6spds had it and I never had an issue because the alarms were stmart, you had to do this song and dance (which admittedly was annoying) and the car wouldn't arm the remote start until you shut the car off with the remote once you exited the car.
That being said, if the car had some way of telling the alarm, hey i'm in neutral, that whole song and dance routine could be avoided.
