The cover installs with velcro straps and utilizes the plastic bottom of the lid to secure it. Take your time with it and it's pretty straight forward.

Is the arm rest/center console closed all the way? Or they just sit up like that.. I really wanted one but not if it sits up that much..

I slapped this thing on pretty quick. The latch isn't tightened down all the way in this photo so yes the lid sticks up a little more than normal. There are more photos of cleaner installs here

It is definitely worth it, the cover is padded as well so it's pretty comfortable to use.

As soon as I posted I saw that and hoped nobody would notice! It's gone!
