Cloth vs Leather Interior?
Although I wanted and ordered a base GT, I am just beginning to question my decision based on both $$ and wanting cloth interior. I know it's a matter of personal taste but I was wondering if it's considered a bad thing by others on the forum. Both my other 2 cars have leather and I am not a fan of the heat, cold, wrinkles and cracks that seem inevitable after time. Then again I have seen some really badly worn cloth interiors too. What's the thoughts?

I just went through the same thing when I ordered mine. It seems like the majority of GT owners go for the premium package with the leather. I didn't want leather for the reasons you mentioned. I opted for the cloth Recaro seats and never looked back. The only things I wish I would have gotten were the track apps. But that's not possible unless you get a GT premium. It sounds like you personally really don't like leather, so I would just stick with the cloth. I don't think anybody on here would consider that a bad thing. That's the great thing about these cars is that there are tons of combinations and styles for everyone. Get what you want and save a few bucks for mods.

Could always go premium with cloth recaros, kinda wished I had after I ordered but after some though there's downsides to both. Cloth gets dirty and stained easily while leather wrinkles.

I swapped from cloth to leather and it feels and looks wonderful.
My wife has cloth in her family car Fusion. Perfect for a messy 5 year old daughter.
It all depends on its intended use. Choose wisely though,

I had a 2011 with Cloth seats, and when I traded it in at roughly 30000 miles 14-months later, the front seats were looking worn, starting the fray, and had deep wrinkles and ripples on the fabric, especially on the ingress/egress areas.
With my 2012 with black leather, 27000 miles 13-months later, the leather is holding up much better than the cloth. To my surprise, these have resisted any significant wear on the ingress/egress areas of the seat, even with my 6'1" 260lb frame sliding across them 2-3 times a day.
My opinion, get the leather.

Leather for me, mine look brand new still, Kind of are. But I have a friend that got a car with cloth seats around the same time as I got mine and his seats looks horrid.

To the OP, the good thing is if you are talking about a current model year or past with identical seats, you can pick up new car take off leather for less than $300 if you decide you do want leather.

I bought cloth. I only have 3,000 miles but no ware on it. My last car was leather and it looked like crap cause it was so warn. They both have there ups and downs but cloth is cheaper. Thats why I went for it. My .02 as well.

FWIW, I wanted cloth but ended up putting in leather because dog hairs would weave themselves into the Mustang cloth. You couldn't vacuum it off or use the sticky tape rollers. You had to pull the remaining hairs out one by one.

One of the problems I have experienced with cloth seats is static electricity. You slide out of the seat getting out and touch the roof and get shocked. Leather for me.
