CDC Dead Pedal Installed on my '11 ...
Ordered a CDC Dead Pedal last weekend ... it arrived today and I installed it.
A little spendy at $57 delivered, but definitely looks nice and matches the factory pedals perfectly.
Note that 2011 is again slightly different from the CDC pics of 2007-10.
Obvious difference is the absense of the Fuel Pump reset switch, so the wiring is routed slightly different which is not a problem. However, the carpet now goes all the way to the side sheet metal and has formed bumps molded into it that the base of the kick panel sits against. In order to "form and tuck carpet around the factory dead pedal platform" as stated in the instructions I had to make a slit in the carpet just in front of the dead pedal bracket.
Also, the wiring harness is not very well wrapped as it passes the dead pedal so you will want to add some protection here ... I.E. short pc. of wire loom or wrap with heavy friction type electrical tape. Also the back edges of the pedal bracket were somewhat sharp so some sanding and wire-wheeling these edges where it comes in contact with the wiring harness was mandatory as well. I did not realize this was a big issue untill I took it back out and found scrapes & nicks in the loom covering as well as a few of the wires !!
I also planed on getting a set of Lloyd Carpeted Floor Mats with the tab of carpet that covers the dead pedal platform. However top of Dead Pedal needs to tilt back a bit further to be more parallel with the carpet platform so the mat can sneek between the pedal & carpet. Looking at it a bit closer, only way to mod bracket to tilt more would be to put a flat spot on the big washer of the retaining bolt and grind the slot back on the pedal a bit ... don't know if this will make enough of a difference though. May have to resort to shaving the styrofoam platform under the carpet a bit instead.

It would kill me because I have been waiting to own a V8 Mustang all my life, but once I get back on my feet with a new job, I'm thinking about a 2011 V6, fully loaded with everything I wanted on a GT. I'd have the FRPP handling kit and 3.73s installed before taking delivery though, possibly even the Brembos and Brembo wheel package.

Took a sawzall to the back corner of my dead pedal's mounting flange to see if this would allow it to tilt back more.
Modification was a success as I was able to tilt it back enough so it is now is parallel with the factory carpeted dead pedal platform and no longer touching it at the bottom edge.
Will have my Lloyds floor mats next week so I'll let you all know if it's dead pedal platform "tab" slips under the dead pedal or not. There is about 3/8" of room now so this should be enough ... but if not, further "modding" may be req'd.
Pic attached of the sawzall "modification" I did to allow pedal to "tilt" back more.
As far as "installed" and the process of "installing" CDC has much better pics in their installation instructions than what I could do ...

From what the instructions say, I'd guess this mod may be needed for all 2007-up.

Just installed my Lloyds mats, and the drivers side tab fit under the dead pedal with a little work. I'll get a pic or two tomorrow showing it with the dead pedal (need natural light).
Here are two pics comparing the front pass mat top & bottom ... IMO there is no comparison, Lloyds are far superior !!
Rubber nibbed backing vs. what appears to be heavy "felt".
O/A size is ...
30" vs. 23-3/8" Long
and
19-1/2" vs. 18" Wide (at widest point)
They sure are BLACK though vs. Dk Charcoal, but I could not find these "Premium Mats" in Dk Charcoal, only Black ... the contrast looks fine in the car.

IMO the alternate is almost too big but does the job ... would not work with Lloyds or similar configured mat though.

I think it was a prototype...
And never saw any production- tho if you want one there is an email listed in his OP.

The best footrest I've had in a Ford was the one that came in my SHO. It wasn't crammed up against the kickplate, it was a hump in the carpet and had a pad stuck through the carpet onto the hump. When I got my Focus ST I copied the design and used a Bullit pedal to finish, the size matched the SVT pedals well:
It's a dilemma ... I think I'd rather have nothing than a tiny footpad crammed up against the kickplate. The big one is a little better but IMO it's too far the other way ...

Hey Doug, I know this is a very old thread, but I'm planning on getting the CDC dead pedal for my 2011 GT. Questions - is there enough grip? I track my car, so it's not just a foot rest for me, it's a piece that I apply a lot of foot pressure to. I see the black strips...are they rubber? Like the stock pedals? Does your foot actually plant squarely on the black strips? Or does your foot slide around on the metal? Sorry so many annoying questions, I just want to buy and install the right product for my use. Please let me know, thanks! Also, I'll PM you.

thats a nice pedal, matches quite well but definitely too small and wayyy to close to the kick panel. resting your foot that far from the clutch would pose a ergonomic dilemma for me... but if it works

I picked up this one from Moss Motors. AM has the same type but did not have the Pony which is why I did not go with them this time. It is a little low but does proteect the carpet pretty well. Double face taped a sheet of plastic so the carpet under the cut out would not get dirty.
