Blendmount on a 2013

Hey guys,

Just wondering if any of you have a Blendmount for your mustang and if it fits properly? I ordered one to go with the Beltronics RX65 I ordered, but my car is still being built

Before shipping they sent me an email asking for my car info or a pic, so I hope they will make sure it's the right one because I won't be able to check until sometime in July.

Thanks!

I'm in the same boat. Leaning toward the Country Joy mount for V1 but not sure what will fit until the car gets here.

I myself went with the rogue radar mount. Lower price than all of them and it still included their own version of the inviscord (plugs into the connector for the rearview mirror)

For the price its a great piece and works well.

Do you remember what size fits the Mustang? They have a 7/8 and 3/4 available, and I can't find my calipers to measure mine.

I installed the BlendMount and mirror tap a few weeks ago, and I couldn't be happier. No more suction cups or dangling cords.

I did the exact same one for my escort solo s3 and it fits perfect.

Say your pulled over and want to take the detector down quickly, how fast can it be done? Thanks, Mike

Please don't make any sudden motions when you get pulled over. It's a recipe for disaster.

Lol. Thanks for the concern and your correct. Now I can take it down easily without even looking at it. Just wasn't sure what was involved with the mounts?

Gotcha. Just didn't want you getting shot tryin to hide your radar detector.

Don't know how the Texan cops are, but the ones out here shoot first and ask questions later.

To answer your question, 3-5 seconds. My advice, leave it on, shut your car off and keep your hands on the wheel. At night, I turn my cabin light on so the officer can see me. Also, don't lie, and be friendly. Cops are just regular people doing their job. They hear lies all the time and will cut you a break if you tell the truth.

You forgot to add the $400-500 radar detector.

I agree. Turn light on at night. Tell the truth. Be respectful. They're just doing their job. But if I get the chance , they'll never know I have a detector.

Well they've really got me by the *****. I have a cheap Cobra detector that gets the job done somewhat. I don't use it because it's a hassle having wires everywhere. This setup is perfect. I want it and they know we want it. I don't speed much but it would be nice to have this stuff automatically setup.

Haha! Yeah, they really got us all by the *****, talk about a monopoly! You can probably get away with just using an old phone line for the mirror tap. Looking back, that's what I would do differently.

Well, if it only detects radar then yes. Mine detects laser and it just paid for itself again today. Obviously if you're flying down city streets doing 20 over the cop won't need radar to know you're speeding. I know what the limitations are and how these units work. I couldn't be happier with the unit and this mount.
