Been at this for 12Hours Straight
I been trying to hook up my new HU and everything is wire right but i am not getting no remote power for the HU to power on when the ignition is on. i have check the fuses and there all good. if i plug in the old HU it turns on but my aftermarket one gives me no power. can you guys show me what wire harnesses you used for how you got it to turn on with the ignition thanks. and the HU is good because if i give power to the remote wire from the HU to the constant Hot it will turn on. Which wire is the remote hot wire.?

Did the harness not come with instructions? When I installed mine it was pretty straight forward and said what colors everything should be. From what I have found on-line it should be a blue wire. You didn't take apart the stock connector did you?

Yes my harness came with instruction and it was straight forward and I didn't cut the OEM of the radio wires. And I have no solid blue wire from my OEM harness. Its a 2012 v6 mustang. I check all the lines on the harness with ignition on and the most voltage I got was 5 volts.

I spent hours getting mine to work as well. After using a voltmeter I realized that the stock power/switched wires on my harness weren't giving me anything for some reason. I wound up using the 12v round plug under the center console for my power and used an add a circuit from autozone for my switched power. Everything worked fine after that.
