Anyone have the Lloyd LUXE mat for '11 or '12?

These are the extra thick top-of-the-line mat. I am curious how they look given that they apparently do not run up the firewall (just like the OEM mats). I had planned to order them but double checked with LLoyds directly and they confirmed the short length. Trying to envision how a really thick carpet looks just covering the floor space. Any pics would be appreciated. Thanks.

I don't have the Luxe, but I did get the Ultimats. They're very nice.

Are they the shorter versions, like the OEM? Or do they go up the firewall? Thanks.

They go up the firewall. They fit nice and snug so they don't move around at all. They also have an extension that velcroes to the dead pedal and they use the factory retaining points.

How has the wear been holding up? Some have commented that the Lloyd mats with the pony logo began to show wear where the shoe heel rested. Any issues with yours? Thanks again.

I'm having that problem with my LLoyd mats (the deep pyle GT500 mats) , they seem to be wearing faster than the factory stuff.

I'm not a good source for that info. Mine is a garage queen.

Mine are showing wear on the 5.0 ones near where my heal sits too after 6k miles. Plus they shed like a dog on a hot summer day. Other than that they're great and I love the dead pedal flap.

So, guys with problems with the Lloyd's mats, is there a better brand out there? I thought Lloyd's was the one and was ready to order them in the spring.

They're in my sons mustang. I don't know if they have stopped shedding, but they did shed for the first few months of owning them.

John... you'll probably laugh... but I have translucent mats that I put on TOP off my Lloyd's 5.0 mats. Isn't that sad? I couldn't stand to dirty mine

I made the plastic cover myself... via Lowe's and a box cutter and tracing. I wanted the 5.0 to be visible, yet protected. Yes I know I am pathetic....

I haven't found (or looked) for anything better. But I'm pretty satisfied with them. I expect the heal to wear in, but not that quickly. If you vaccum your car regularly then the shedding is minimal. Just do some shopping around. I got mine new from BOI off ebay for $75 shipped. Also if you like the dead pedal flap, make sure you check as there are 2 different versions and I almost bought ones without it by mistake.

I KNEW you were going to ask that.... my buddies give me grief about the plastic mats on TOP of my lloyd's mats. haha. Just me I guess... I hate getting anything on my car dirty

As far as furniture, luckily I have a 3 year old boy, so I don't care much (anymore) about the state of our furniture. There's stains/cheerios etc all over.... so no, no plastic wrap

Ha I thought about getting the carpet protector stuff like you get from the dealer when new or getting worked on, the sticky kind of stuff. Right now I have the OEM on top of my 5.0 Lloyd ones

Thank you for not making me the only nut case here that puts another mat on top of another mat One could argue then why bother with the Lloyd's mats if you're gonna cover it up anyways/not visible....

hence why I went with plastic cover for see through, but now I'm being cold grampa can't win... hehe

Part of the answer on the Lloyd mats shedding and wearing at the heel probably has to do with what type of mat they are. I spoke with Lloyd's and the mats that most people buy with the logo already on them in thier lower quality mats. The fact that they sell for less than $100 and have the logo is the key. Their top of the line mat, without a logo, is $200.00. So unless someone custom ordered the Ultimats or the Luxe mats with the logo, my guess is that the mats being referenced are the base mat sold through most of the online stores where you see the logos on the mats in their online catalogues. Just my guess. But that is why I was asking of anyone had the Luxe or even Ultimats, and if they were showing any wear. I would hate to pay $200 for mats have any wear begin to show. Thanks for everyone's help.
