Adding 8" door subs to a base V6
Does anyone know if the wiring harness that goes to the door subs in the Shaker is setting vacant in the base V6 door panel. I would like to put the Shelby-Kicker subs in my sons 13 V6 and if the connection is just setting there vacant, seems its would be easy to install door subs. I know I would need the enclosure which I could buy from Toulsey and an amp. Anyone ever try this undertaking?

I was wondering the same thing. Also if there is a wiring harness in the door sill for cars that didn't come with illuminated lighted sills???

There is no wiring run for the subs, you would have to either do it yourself or buy the Shaker head unit and amp and use those. The Shaker door panels go for about $500-600 used, or you can cut your door panels and make your own enclosure.

You should say 5-600 for the pair, if that's the going rate. I got a some Shaker door panels for 250ea from a salvage yard that has an ebay store. That was just the panel, no speakers. There's quite a big enclosure behind the panel that is there to provide a good space for bass response, so you would be better off getting some shaker panels instead of carving up your own.
