2011 Mustang floor mat recommendations
I recently bought the ford racing floormats for my 2011 5.0. I love the quality and logos. Unfortunately the 2 holes dont fit flush on the floor, the holes are a little too big. One of the biggest problem with these mats is that they're shorter than the stock ones, therefore my shoe sometimes gets stuck at the end of the mats, right by the clutch. This is dangerous in my opinion cuz it can cause an accident if your foot gets caught while trying to shift.
I got the Lloyd's "5.0" mats for general use and love them. They feel great, fit great, and have coverage for the dead pedal. Got the set of 4 and the rears also fit great.
They have plastic tabs underneath to fit the restraining hooks on the driver's side. it gives a very clean look b/c the mat itself goes over them. I was worried about the dead pedal part moving around but so far so good. I got them mainly for that. I use it with the MT and the stock mats have no protection at all there.

I've had weathertechs in my wifes Edge and Taurus X and while I agree the initial fitment is great both sets had the edges curl over within the first year which allowed water and crude to get to the carpet below. I called up customer service and was reminded that I was out of the warranty period and what I was experiencing wasn't a manufacturing defect. I won't be buying them again.
For my 2011 Mustang I ordered a set of the OEM all weather mats. Fit is perfect and surprisingly enough I have received a few compliments on them as well. I also really like the honeycomb look with the running horse. With 9000 miles on them so far they still look and perform great.
Winters coming so we'll see how they work in the cold weather.

Interesting. I'm curious now to see if that happens.
I looked at the Ford mats and one or two others and what I liked about the Weathertechs were the side walls, esp. protection on the dead pedal.
Of course if they curl that kinda defeats the benefits.

I purchased the weather-tech digital fit floor mats for a 2010 mustang, because they didnt have the 2011 model up on the web page yet.
I would recommend them to anyone, because they honestly look factory and have sidewalls, which I found to be very useful. On regular mats without a sidewall, dirt pretty much rolls off and imbeds itself underneath the carpet. I hate using the vacuum, going over a spot only to have it pull up additional dirt. Its like a never ending sand and dirt pit. The sidewall catches 100% of the dirt and sand.

+ 1 on the WeatherTechs. They fit perfect, hold in liquid just in case, the color matches the interior great and are easy to take out and clean with a water hose or just windex and a rag. They dry almost immediately so you aren't waiting to put them back in. I also like that they are textured so your feet have grip which is a problem with smooth plastic mats.
