2011 Mustang floor mat recommendations
So, most of you are aware or will find out sooner or later that your car doesn't come with rear floor mats. For me this is quite necessary as I regularly have my 8 and 5 yr. old kids in the back seat.
I went through the same problem when I bought an 07 GT few years ago. The problem is it's very hard to find a Mustang-specific rear floot mats with the T shape. You usually end up buying the full set, provided you like the design. Most people end up buying the full 4-set aftermarket or factory all-weather floor mat set, like I did with my 07.
This time, I'm doing something different. Looking through various websites, I could not find a style that I liked. Either they're too plain and boring with no logo, or have HUGE logos in the middle of the mat that looks too bold/kiddie for my tastes. Not to mention said embroidered logos will weather badly and look like crap in short time due to foot traffic.
So I wanted something in middle. A little accent, if you will. Maybe because it's me getting older now, but I like subtlety and finesse.
So, my approach was to think front and rear mats separately. Find the front floor mat design you like, and if it's good and complete, get the full set. Sadly, I could not find full-set design that I like.
I ended up getting front mats first. The mat I found was M-13086-MA Ford Racing front floor mats for 2010 Mustangs. These are really nice looking, plush, and has the factory look. Unfortunately, Ford does not sell full sets or rear-only mats. Another, minor problem...2011-specific FRPP mats aren't made yet, which has a slightly different lock ring design on the driver side compared to 2010 models. The good news is that mat dimensions are identical so they fit the floor layout perfectly.
Notice in the pictures below where stock mat has a flush fit on the plastic stopper. It actually snaps in. FRPP mats fit right over the plactic stopper, but loose. However, rubber grips behind the FRPP part keeps the mat firmly in place.
The rear mats are still on back order, but I did find one place so far who sells Mustang-specific rear mats for a so-so price. http://www.shelbystore.com/product-p/z4-2.htm
Anyone know where else may carry rear-only, T-shaped mats for 05+ Mustangs? I'd rather get mats in the back soonish before my kids make a mess

Shameless plug since you asked...
There's ours here:
http://www.silverhorseracing.com/car...ategory_id=276
100% Made in the USA, and we even have different mats for left and right rear sides. Available in different colors, all have our logo in the front mats only. They are much larger than the stock fronts, fit perfect, and are heavier grade carpeting / backing than the stock ones.

The second grommet was added on the 2010 models but we haven't done a re-stock run of them in a while, so ours still have the 05-09 single grommet setup. The next run will be dual grommet, but to be honest, I just removed the second retainer from the carpet of our 2010.
I'll shoot some installed pictures of a red set we have in our 2010 - the fit is perfect, and as large as possible to cover as much of the carpet as possible.

Would you happen to stock rear-only floor mats? I already have the fronts. If you do, I'd like to order a pair!

These OEM matts are perfect for everyday use
If you want floormats that will survive ANYTHING, fit well, easy to clean (just pull em out, dump the trash and spray with a hose), look decent, and high quality, spend the extra cash on weathertech mats. Totally worth it! They are the best investment I have made to date since I am constantly in and out of mud and dirt for my job. I haven't had to vacuum my car once since I got it a month ago!

I installed Weathertech mats last night. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give the front mats a 9. Deep bucket design and very secure fit on the driver's side floor posts. I just wish the grooves were narrower and deeper to keep my pants legs up off the muck more. I give the rear mats a 7 because I think they should extend about twice as far front to back as they do. Who sits with their feet pulled all the way back? I may go back to the rear mats that I trimmed with scissors into the proper T shape.
I bought some Lloyd's mats.
You'll find them for $89 all day from most vendors, but my local dealer has them for $69, and my salesperson gives me 20% off all Ford parts.
I paid less than $60 out the door for some pretty sweet floor mats. Much thicker than stock, plus having them in the back in essential for my 3 year old.

We have them for the $89 and a 10% discount code (mustangforum1) which I thought was pretty good!
