2011 GT500 cluster in my 2010 GT

I bought a 2011 GT500 Cluster from eBay today. Should have it shortly. Hopefully it works in my 2010 GT ... Not a fan of white face gauges.

Got the cluster for $200 ... Unfortunately no way to make the Boost gauge work though.

I saw that on eBay and was seriously considering getting it but wasn't sure if it would just be plug and play. Please take pictures of the gauges lit up at night. I'd like to see how different they look. Are the gt500 gauges mycolor too?

Yes they are Mycolor. The only issue putting it in a 5.0 is the redline is quite a bit higher than the 5.4.

Would it be easier to just swap the tach & speedo from the GT500 setup into your GT premium gauge panel? That way you don't have to fuss with any of the center gauges, which weren't white to begin wth.

It's one complete unit. You swap everything.

I was looking at that too but didn't know if it was plug and play. Will it keep the miles that are on your car also?

Roush and Saleen have nice looking gauges, too but haven't seen them for sale yet. I hate our stock gauges.

GT500 looks much better, they really need to get rid of the retro font on the GT. Also I can't stand the numbers not all being vertical like the GT500 is, another retro thing on the GT I could do without.

You should just resell the GT500 cluster and wait for a Boss 302 cluster. Not only will the redline be a closer match the speedo goes to 180 mph. Plus no boost gauge to look at while it just sits there.

Is this a difficult install? Does the whole dash have to come apart to get to the cluster?

with the 2010 GT- I don't like the over sized needle and the 2mph increments. Going 55/65mph on a highway is anyone's guess...

I know the bottom two gauges on the GT are pretty much idiot gauges but I do like that look over the Boss gauges with just fuel and temp. Oh well. I might go the Saleen route if they ever sell the gauges.

The standard gauges are so cheesy looking. Like they came out of a 73 LTD. I can almost justify spending the extra coin on a GT500 just not to look at them.

The 2011 GT500 gauges have a 6250 redline. The 2010 GT is 6500 so close enough. I'm happy with 160 MPH speedo.

I'm pretty sure you got yourself into a time consuming swap here ( read PITA), you have to remove the whole dash pad in order to gain access to the back of the cluster . Let us know how it goes, no swearing allowed !

Actually it only takes about 5 minutes total. Pull the bezel and 4 screws and it's out.
