2010+ Illuminated Engine Start Button

If you're referring to the button - there are some out there on the market, but none that would work with our design - simply leaving the blue one non-illuminated (an option when wiring the kit) would get you close with a black mounting frame.

I would like one that doesn't need me to put the key in the ignition first. I want to keep my key in my pocket, get close to the car, and it unlocks, and sit down push to start, drive off, without ever taking my key out. Proximity key fob?

The systems are commercially available for RFID type starter setups, but you have to deal with steering wheel interlock removal, PATS wiring workarounds, etc... it's a cool concept, and on a "clean sheet" car or on an older car it's not too much trouble to integrate one of the kits to the car. But on a late model Mustang with PATS, column lock, etc... it's really a lot more than most people would want to do.

Hmm, I can envision an entrepreneur making custom buttons for these with the label of the customer's choice. I could see people paying extra to have their button say "Let 'er rip!" or "Go Baby, Go." Or "Blast Off!"

I've got my shopping cart filled, but if you can custom engrave the billet, I'll do that.
How much. Paypal is ready!

All depends on what you want. Normally goes from +20.00-up based on what you're looking for. Fuel door customizing normally starts at +40.00. You need to call or email us directly so we can discuss it with you.
Saw the edit - can be done, but will be small given the area we have to work with.

It's not bad - first time installer I'd guess around 2 hours. If you are familiar with the dash on these cars, maybe an hour. We're already booking installs here at 50.00 each, so it's not like we expect to take long to do it.
Here's a link to the installation instructions - be aware a lot of the "steps" are because the passenger airbag has to come out, so we wanted to be crystal clear and match 1:1 with the factory instructions for doing this without any safety issues.

How does this work?! Do you need to put the key in, turn to "on" and then push the button??
It's definitely cool and something I'd consider but it kinda would make any sense to have the key right there and let go an push the button. Although its probably the only way it can work...Or maybe im wrong.....

2012GTCS,
That's the easiest way to make it happen for everyone. You have to take into account:
1) PATS system (if equipped)
2) Steering wheel interlock
3) Main disconnect power for entire vehicle
So if you are willing to work around those three hurdles, then yes, you can do it without the key, but most people do not want to go to that level of involvement. That, and when you do go there, then you have to add RFID key capability, otherwise anyone could just hop in the car and drive off with it. So to go the "full" route, you're into the 600.00 range + labor to make it all happen - which is not what this kit is about.
