X-pipe
Okay, looking for some help on exhaust. I have a 2011 GT, I've already replaced the stock axle-backs with GT500 SVT mufflers. I like the new sound a lot. So to spruce things up a bit, I am considering an on-road X-pipe to replace the stock H-pipe, while keeping everything else stock. I don't need 'Nascar loud', as this is my daily driver. Questions:
* Best types/recommendations?
* Will I need a re-tune?
* What type of HP / TQ gains will I see?
* How much louder? I live in a quiet neighborhood, so I'd only want a subtle increase in sound.
* Am I missing anything?
Any and all comments and advise are welcome. Thanks in advance!

No re-tune needed. It will be quieter, not louder. It will be smoother and will have less burble and pop than the stocker. You will likely see only marginal gains, if any. I am running the Pypes, but that requires welding. I think the easiest to install is the Bassani from what I have read. Magnaflow is also good, but absurdly expensive for a little section of stainless pipe.

Thanks, Mike! That's the answer. Quieter...thus, no X-pipe for me.

If you want to keep the gurgle and make it a tad louder get the JBA H-Pipe 2.75" (it bolts up to stock system)
