Wheel Sizes

Need an opinion.
Have 2014 GT with stock tires/wheels 18" with Perelli tires.
Thinking about changing to 18x9.5 wheels and use my stock tires, or go with a 17x8 wheel and change to a Pereilli 17" tire (same as stock)

I don't drag race or road race......daily driver car.

I'm assuming the stock 18" tires are 235-50-18?
That size will look stretched on a 9.5" wide wheel

I have the SVT 18x9.5 wheels on my car with 275-40-18 tires on them and they look perfect on those rims.

If you're contemplating new wheels AND tires anyway, that's what I would do

Or 255-45-18 ... the stock 07-09 GT500 front tire size. That looks great on there too

My car:

You're all over the map here, what exactly are you trying to do, just want a different wheel style or what?

Ride and handling wise, the 20's will suck, they are only for looks and IMO they don't look right on these cars.

If you just want a different wheel style with the stock tires then stick with a 8" or 8.5" wide wheel.

I like 20's. I wouldn't go with 17's or 18's. THey look too small. 19's are decent but the tires start to get pretty expensive.

i'm pretty sure 17's wouldn't even clear the brakes on a 11+ GT

My 13" Brembo rotors and 4 piston calipers behind my 17x9 Cobra wheels would beg to differ. But still, this thread hurts my head.

That's... kinda evil.

I like it.

Now I wanna do that to someone's car just to screw with them. If only I had money to literally burn... and then not actually burn it and do this.

Lol I didn't. Still. Unfortunately. Just saying that the 11+ GT base brakes are 13.2" rotors and twin piston calipers, so 17s *may* fit over them...

looking at CS Wheels
The 20's are out dont like them, looking for CS66 or CS67 18x8.5 but hard to find,
The 17 are plentiful, and after discussion is CS Wheels I am inclined to this choice.
Like the chrome CS66 or CS67
Still looking for CS66 or CS67 chrome 18x8.5
