I'm looking at replacing my upper/lower grilles soon. I painted the chrome trim piece and of course it's a rock magnet now and looks like absolute ****.

I'm just wondering what's out there that looks good and clean. I've seen everything AM has to offer but I don't much care to buy from them if I don't have to. I'd also like something that isn't super cheap and flimsy.

The Roush grilles look real nice, but $450 for both is a bit difficult to swallow. I'm not sure it would look good with just the upper.

Anything else out there that I'm missing? Whatever it is I want all black, preferably with no emblems on the front, or small ones.

 

If you don't want to drop $400 on the roush grilles, the modern black billet is a cheaper alternative. They are under $200 for the top and bottom. I was thinking of putting them on mine.

 

I've been thinking about those as well, but was unsure of the quality.

 

Got mine from American Muscle and it has held up well for 3 years. Rock chips are a fact of life but easy to touched up. I used a multi-tool to cut out the pony and most of the Honeycomb and it breathes easier. If you have the MCA grill it is just a remove and replace. The hardest part is cleaning since there are 13 bars on the top grill. I love not having a gigantic chrome pony in the middle of the grill!

 

I have the 13/14 MCA grille and love it.

 

I know this isn't the for sale section, but I have new 2014 take-off GT grilles with the fog lights for $350. I removed the upper and lower grilles for the Roush grilles.

I put the GT/CS Upper and Lower on mine for under $400. Satin Black with the Driver side offset Tri-Bar Pony Emblem. And the emblem can be easily removed and located to the center or passenger side with the simple push on style clips on the back of the emblem. I think it looks awesome and its pretty easy to clean, unfortunately paint chips and rocks are a fact of life.
