Stripes Installed!

Stripes Installed!

LOVE the look of the silver stripes! Really happy with the way it turned out! Really proud of the job my hubby did! The install was not as hard as I thought. You just have to take the time and have patience. I love the silver fleck in the stripes. Diffidently better than the factory 11'-12' silver stripes! The stripes surely give the car some personality!

Here is a before and some after pics for your enjoyment!

Looks terrific...and that's awesome that your husband was able to put the stripes on.

I'm not a fan of the windshield banners either...but that one just seems right at home on your car...so I like it.

Why the giant mudflaps though?

Funny you should ask. These mudflaps were for a truck. My husband found them online. They are the width of the tires. Reasons for these mudflaps include:
1. These tires are wide
2. These tires pick up every.little.pebble.... (This is the reason for the paved driveway. We paved it after we received the car lol)
3. Nobody likes road rash
4. My husband has OCD....EVERY one of our vehicles has mudflaps. lol

We have actually received complements regarding these flaps. The flaps look really nice on the car, especially from the rear view.

BTW we have a set of really nice rear flaps for sale with less than 25 miles on them.

Thank you all for the great compliments!

Just wondered - was an honest question...I thought maybe you lived in a rural area with unpaved roads or something.

I hear you and get the reasons for installing them. I just haven't seen them on Shelby's. I just have the rear stock ones on mine...and they've done a good job at protecting the paint I must say through 4 years and the winters...but I have a 2010 and don't have the painted lower rocker and rear bumper cover that you have.

No unpaved roads THANK GOD! lol But man some days it could be! The county doesn't take care and sweep off the corners on the roads! So the flaps are some cheep insurance for our paint. Yes, we will get paint chips but hopefully we can avoid the majority of them.

I got screwed up the other day on a country road trip (via navigation)...ended up on a dirt road for about a mile...Yikes! lol. But I made it through okay.

Our roads are pretty clear for the most part. So I can't really complain.
